We raise your goat for you for a full year on our Snohomish pastures, with weekly updates, monthly video calls, and farm visits. I'm reserving partway through the year. Is the price lower?

No, it is a flat price ($3,500 for All-Inclusive, or $2,500 for Self-Harvest) whenever you join, and that's by design. We begin raising our goats the week after each Eid, long before most families commit. Sourcing quality animals isn't something we can do on demand: it means traveling long distances, working around breeding cycles, vetting bloodlines, and waiting. By the time you reserve, your goat has already been living a full year of care on our pasture. Your price reflects one premium animal raised for a whole year, not the days since you signed up. A single flat price is also the fairest approach: every family receives the same animal, the same care, and the same honest price. If anything, joining later is harder on us, not easier, so the flat price works in your favor.

How do payments work?

Two ways, same total. Most families choose monthly: a $500 deposit reserves your goat, then $300/month for All-Inclusive (or $200/month for Self-Harvest) on autopay from July through April, so you're fully paid a month before Eid. That monthly payment isn't arbitrary; it's what a month of your goat's care actually costs on our ledger. Or pay in full ($3,500 for All-Inclusive, or $2,500 for Self-Harvest). Joining after July? You can catch up on elapsed months in your first payment or set up a customized monthly plan so that the full amount is completed 30 days before Eid. No installment surcharge, no late fees. The $500 deposit is non-refundable, and monthly payments are fully refundable up to 60 days before Eid.

Will the meat taste or smell 'goaty'?

No, and there's a specific biological reason why. The smell people associate with goat meat comes almost entirely from mature intact males; it's hormonal. Every goat we raise is wethered young, around three months, right after weaning, so that taint never develops. Then the way they live finishes the job: a full year moving freely across 16 acres on a natural pasture diet, instead of being penned and bulked on heavy feed for cheap weight gain. Add premium Boer genetics and calm, low-stress handling (which measurably improves meat quality) and you get goat meat most people in America have never actually tasted.

Is the meat halal? Who oversees the slaughter?

The All-Inclusive operating standard is sacrifice per Sunnah by a trained zabiha slaughterman at a USDA-inspected facility, with the name of Allah pronounced over each animal. The specific people and facility are identified in your agreement before payment. We are seeking independent religious review, but we do not claim a certification, adviser, affiliation, or endorsement that is not signed and authorized for publication. Video documentation is available on request.

I'm in Washington and want to perform the zabiha myself. Can I?

Yes. Washington residents may choose the $2,500 On-Farm Self-Harvest plan ($200/month). The lower rate reflects the processing, packaging, and delivery you handle yourself. Availability is subject to written confirmation of ownership, site safety, waste, scheduling, and applicable state and local requirements; our team does not assist with the physical slaughter or butchering. Finalize this option at least 60 days before Eid.

Can I visit my goat?

Yes. Washington-based customers can schedule up to two farm visits per year. Bring your kids. Feed your goat. Take photos.

Question 8

My family is in another state. Can you ship to me?

Accepted Answer

Yes. The $3,500 All-Inclusive plan serves the continental United States. After the processor fully freezes and releases your order, we select the safest practical tracked service for your ZIP code. Timing depends on processor release, weather, destination, and carrier availability, so we do not promise overnight delivery. We confirm the delivery plan before reservation and provide tracking.

What if my goat dies before Eid?

We raise approximately 10% extra animals as a mortality buffer, so if your assigned goat is lost, you receive a replacement of equal quality. This is built into the cost transparently.

My kids will get attached. Is this a good idea?

This is a personal decision for each family. We believe Qurbani is meant to teach children the gravity and meaning of sacrifice; that is the very point of the ritual. We provide age-appropriate guidance for parents who want it. Families who prefer not to name their goat or share updates with their children can opt out of those communications.

What cut options do I have?

Accepted Answer

Three standard options: ethnic cut (small stew-style pieces, traditional for desi/Pakistani cuisine), standard cut (legs, shoulders, ribs, chops), or custom cut (your specifications). You select before processing.

How much meat will I receive?

Accepted Answer

A finished 140–160 lb live-weight goat yields approximately 50–60 lbs of take-home boneless meat after USDA processing.

What breeds do you raise?

Accepted Answer

Premium Boer, Kiko, and Nubian-cross goats, selected for flavor, growth quality, and natural pasture suitability. All are wethers (castrated males), which produces the best meat flavor.

When do I need to order?

As early as possible. We accept orders the week after each Eid al-Adha for the following year's Qurbani. Slots are limited by farm capacity.
